Eegee's New January Flavor of the Month

We recently got an email from, who we are assuming is, eegee's advertising agency up in Phoenix. We were informed that eegee's is in fact coming out with a new flavor again this January.

Last year we had Red Licorice. This was somewhat of a controversy. A lot of people tried it, tweeted about it and at the end of the day it was a bit of a bust as a flavor.

As for the new flavor this new year, if it is in fact a new flavor, those hoping Galactic Grape or Banana Blush would come back are going to be sadly disappointed.

Do you think it's going to be a fruit flavor? or something random like Red Licorice? There are a few fruits that eegee's doesn't have in its arsenal including:
  1. Passion Fruit
  2. Kiwi
  3. Pineapple by itself
  4. Blueberry by itself
  5. Grapefruit
  6. Apricot
  7. Guava
  8. Plum
  9. Papaya
  10. Cranberry
Eegee's has been known for mixing flavors with berries, pineapple and lemon/lime. They also do a hodgepodge mashup to make their Jungle Juice. There are currently seven flavor mixes:
Cherry Pineapple (fun fact: a fan requested this to be made and so many people agreed, it came to life.)
  1. Orange Pineapple
  2. Blueberry Lemon
  3. Cherry Limeade
  4. Holly Berry
  5. Jungle Juice
  6. Peach N Berry
It's about time for a mix of flavors again, it's been too long. Could the new flavor be a mix of current flavors they already have? If the new January flavor is a mix of flavors, here are some flavors we think would mix the best:
  1. Mango Pineapple
  2. Apple Grape
  3. Pineapple Watermelon
  4. Strawberry Banana
  5. Pomegranate Black Raspberry
  6. Raspberry Lemonade
Eegee's could also throw everyone for a loop as they did back in January of 2015. Here are some flavors we think they could come out with that are not fruit related.
  1. Cola
  2. Popcorn
  3. Pie (Pumpkin, Pecan)
  4. Chocolate Mousse
  5. Love Potion No. 9
  6. Mexican Hot Chocolate
Let us know in the comments what you think the next flavor of the month is going to be. Also, if you work for eegee's and know any of the fun secrets shoot us an email at eegeeslove@gmail.com. All names are kept confidential.

If a new flavor doesn't excite you, you can order your own favorite flavor on the eegee's special order website. Here are the flavors you can order from eegee's:
  1. Rodeo Root Beer
  2. Lucky Lime
  3. Fruit Splash
  4. Blueberry Lemon
  5. Galactic Grape
  6. Jungle Juice
  7. Cherry Cider
  8. Pomegranate Blast
  9. Holly Berry
  10. Tangerine Breeze
  11. Chunks O' Cherry
  12. Cherry Pineapple
  13. Orange Pineapple
  14. Orange Dream
  15. Mango Tango
  16. Black Raspberry
  17. Cherry Limeade
  18. Blueberry Lemon
  19. Banana Blush
  20. Peach n Berry
  21. Red Licorice
  22. Watermelon

The Eegee's Secret Menu - No Longer A Secret!

UPDATE: As of January 1, 2017 eegee's no longer supports their secret menu. You are still able to get eegee's suicide style at select locations. If they don't know what you're talking about, educate them on what suicide style actually is.

--

We told you we had some insider information for the eegee's secret menu and here it is!

We found out from some inside sources that all the employees at eegee's are being trained to handle your secret menu needs. Tag us when you order and post photos of the secret menu items @eegeeslove.

TRASHCAN FRIES

Fries done right. They will literally put everything on top of a batch of fries. This includes cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, banana peppers, ranch, and buffalo ranch.

THE ITALIANO

This sandwich will make you want to kiss your fingers like the Italians do. It's a Roast Beef Sandwich with some Marinara. Not the most Italian, but okay we'll go with it.

THE JUNKYARD

Think California Burrito only with an Eegee's Grinder. That's right, they load a grinder with fries. Open Mouth. Insert Junkyard.

MUTHA FUCKIN' GRINDER

Speaking of an Eegee's Grinder. This is the mother load, the mother-fuckin' grinder is 18" of grinder glory. Bring friends or eat it yourself. Note: It's really called the Big F'ing Grinder, but if you're going call it a fucking grinder, say fucking.

EL RANCHO STYLE

Ranch is eegee's most popular item, though the buffalo ranch is becoming a fan favorite. The El Rancho Style has the employees dumping both of these delectable condiments on your order.

HOT AF STYLE

Let's be honest, the Flaming Hot Chicken Sub eegee's showcased this year was anything but flaming hot. So they've introduced a Hot As Fuck Style to their arsenal. This style let's the employees know they should be adding jalapeƱos and buffalo ranch to your sandwich.

SUICIDE STYLE

Can't decide what eegee's flavor to get? Get them all.

Have you ordered something off the secret menu yet? We want to see your photos. Email them to eegeeslove@gmail.com or tag us @eegeeslove #EGsSecretMenu. We will feature them on our social media. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We reached out to eegee's corporate though they were unavailable for comment.

eegee's New Logo

Have you noticed the new logo on all your eegee's wrappers? Let us know what you think in the reactions below the post!

eegee's opened in 1971 with the following logo. You can still see this logo at some of the eegee's on their marquee signs around town. The logo experienced a bit of a change over the next few years.

via lynetteandreasen
A ribbon began to underline the eegee's wording and then a lightning bolt extended through the logo. This logo was the standard for years. You probably grew up with this logo.

via Tucson.com
Finally, a design firm located in Flagstaff, Arizona created the last known eegee's logo. The firm, We Are William, created a brand you will see in most of the local stores now. This is the logo most people have grown to love. It's simple and easy to recognize.

via Sign Tucson
As eegee's has opened their latest stores, we are beginning to see a new logo emerging. They've begun to drop the whole eegee's word and are opting to use just the E, G and S. It's new and different. Some say the change happened because people were having a hard time pronouncing the spelled out word. Others say it's to follow in the footsteps of McDonald's, Burger King and Dairy Queen who have reduced their names to initials (Ex: M, BK, DQ). For whatever the reason might be, we still love eegee's no matter what they look like.

It's what's on the inside of the bag, not the outside.

What do you think?

Netflix & Chill to Eegee's & Brain Chill

eegees

eegee's is the latest brand to jump on the Netflix and Chill bandwagon and we want to know what you think. Is it harmless fun, or a classless trend you expect eegee's to be better than? There seem to be a lot of people who have an opinion on this.

If you don't know about Netflix and Chill, it's code for hooking up, banging, bumping uglies etc.

eegee's is a family establishment yes. They want Moms to bring their children in and grab lunch or dinner. Though, eegee's also has a college demographic they need to cater to. This creates a bit of a clash, but where do you draw the line?

Let's get serious for a minute. This post was posted on twitter and 36% of twitter users are under 18. While teen pregnancy is down across America, Arizona teen pregnancy rates are higher than the national average. This is why some people are having issue with brands bringing Netflix and chill into their marketing.

Our blog is called eegee's love for a reason. We love eegee's, you love eegee's. So, we want to know what you think. Sound off in our poll below, or if you feel more passionate about the matter you can contact eegee's directly here.
Should eegee's be using sex memes in their campaigns aimed at kids?
Everyone knows sex sells. You're taking things too seriously.
Ehh, I don't think Netflix and Chill is harmful. Do your thing eegee's.
It's irresponsible eegee's, stick to your products and leave sex out of it.
I am appalled. eegee's you should be more responsible.

How Do You Eat an Eegee's? Spoon vs Straw Edition

It's the 40-year-old debate, how do you eat your eegee's? People are either die-hard spoon fans though some prefer to sip softly on a straw. We want to know what you think.

Are you a hardcore spoon person, risking brain freeze with every bite? Or do you like to take your time, allowing the eegee's to melt enough to suck it up the plastic tube into your mouth?

Let your voice be heard in the poll below.
How Do You Eat Your Eegee's?

Spoon. There isn't any other way to do it.
Spoon, but people can eat it however they want.
Straw, but I understand why people eat it with a spoon.
Straw. Spoons are silly.

Meet the Tucson Taste Testers Covering November Featured Items

We found these two guys who have started reviewing eegee's featured items. We love this idea. It is a great way for you the consumers to tell eegee's how you are liking what they are doing.

A moment for honesty, the guys need to do their reviews at the beginning of the month so people can go try the food too. Featured items are gone at the end of the month, we don't want to have to wait a year to try the food you're reviewing.

With that being said, check out their latest video reviewing November's featured items.

SANDWICH

  • Such a good call on the simplification of the Flamin' Hot Chicken Sandwich or the "Restrained Version."
  • Appreciation for the "rather good Buffalo Ranch"
  • You can add cheese for 30¢

BUFFALO RANCH FRIES

  • "Buffalo Ranch Fries are America's poutine," we'll roll with you on that one.
  • Also, who wouldn't want a bucket of blue cheese crumbles?
  • Where does eegee's blue cheese come from? This is something we should find out.

FLAVOR OF THE MONTH

  • Cherry Cider as the Flavor of the Month to match the November Fall concept.
Makes sense, since it is fall.
  • There are four eegee's flavors that include cherry in them. We think Cherry Limeade is better than Cherry Cider, though we are glad you are enjoying it.
  • Also, we Googled cider for you, here's the definition, "an unfermented drink made by crushing fruit, typically apples." And the difference between juice and cider is, "Apple juice and apple cider are both fruit beverages made from apples, but there is a difference between the two. Fresh cider is raw apple juice that has not undergone a filtration process to remove coarse particles of pulp or sediment. It takes about one-third of a bushel to make a gallon of cider." You're welcome.

SWEET HEAT COOKIE

  • The comment about the Sweet Heat Cookie is completely valid, it is Mexican Hot Cholocate Flavored. I wish we could give you a prize.

Can't wait to see how you guys feel about this month's Featured Item the Sausage N Peppers Sandwich. Get yourself to eegee's and make that video.

Do you review eegee's food? drinks or the company as a whole? Let us know by tweeting us @eegeeslove and you could be featured right here on eegee's love!

Some other things to be on the look out for this month is the eegee's coin canister. Did you know that all the money in that can goes to the charity on the can? Well, it does. Drop your change in there and do good today.

This month’s change is going to MIKID. If you don’t know about them, here’s a quick excerpt from their website:

“MIKID’s history stemmed from one individual’s overwhelming concern for the lack of services provided for children in the mental health field and the many serious issues that were not being properly addressed.
Sue Gilbertson began her quest in 1984 when her son, Eric, was diagnosed with mental illness. In trying to get assistance for her son, Ms. Gilbertson found herself amidst a conventional medical community that was simply not equipped to handle the problems her son was facing. She was confronted with a community that was indifferent and uncooperative to her needs.
Ms. Gilbertson later came to realize that her struggles were not isolated incidents. She met other families facing similar situations in requesting help for their children who had behavior health challenges.
Sue took on the responsibility of uniting these families and worked together with them to build a better mental health system for their children. Through the efforts of Ms. Gilbertson, families were first brought together in a support group on March 11, 1987. This led to the formation of MIKID.
MIKID is a non-profit, licensed Outpatient Clinic, Family-Run organization in the State of Arizona and contracts with all the Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHAs) in the State as well as Gila River Indian Community and the AZ Community Rehabilitation Services Provider to provide behavioral health services to youth and families throughout AZ. MIKID currently has offices in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Casa Grande, and Prescott Valley.
MIKID provides support, education, and skills development to families and their children as well as youth and young adults who are experiencing mental health and behavior challenges throughout Arizona. This is accomplished through MIKID staff providing one-on-one family support, peer support, health promotion, support groups, training and education, both individual and community-based living skills, respite, and connecting families and individuals with natural supports in the community. MIKID’s approach is grounded in the focus of assisting families and youth to have a strong and respected voice in the services they receive, the systems that provide those services, and their community at large. These services are unique in that those staff providing many of these services are family members, parents, and young adults who have personal “lived experience” in dealing with behavioral health needs. MIKID requires all staff who provide services to the parents we serve to have “lived experience”.”

Finally, eegee’s kid's meals this month will feature a seeded paper Christmas ornament you will be able to plant with your children to grow wildflowers.
