Tucson.com 12 Days of Christmas

Tucson.com has listed out the 12 Days of Christmas that can only be done in Tucson. Open your mouths and insert food.

The local site has devised a list of all the favorite food places you can only get here in Tucson, AZ! We might be a bit biased, but we know what our favorite Tucson restaurant on the list is. It should be yours too. Eat up Tucson and check out which of your favorite Tucson places to eat made the list.

First, though, what would the list be without eegee's? Close to the bottom of the list, on the 10th day of Christmas, Tucson.com is recommending you head on over to eegee's for one of our deliciously cold fresh frozen fruit drinks. Though, let's be honest, one of our fresh frozen fruit drinks would go well with any of those places on the list. Sneak it in your purse or man bag, whatever you choose to carry this season.

For December, eegee’s is boasting the Holly Berry flavor as the Flavor of the Month. You can have this by itself, as a half and half or go all out suicide style. Also, shove a tasty Sausage N’ Peppers in your face. It will help the drink go down.

Back on topic, here are the 12 places that made the list are:
  1. Little Café Poca Cosa, 151 N. Stone Avenue.
  2. St. Mary’s Mexican Food, 1030 W. St. Mary’s Road, 884-1629 and 849 N. Anita Ave., 882-5280.

Meet the Tucson Taste Testers Covering November Featured Items

We found these two guys who have started reviewing eegee's featured items. We love this idea. It is a great way for you the consumers to tell eegee's how you are liking what they are doing.

A moment for honesty, the guys need to do their reviews at the beginning of the month so people can go try the food too. Featured items are gone at the end of the month, we don't want to have to wait a year to try the food you're reviewing.

With that being said, check out their latest video reviewing November's featured items.

SANDWICH

  • Such a good call on the simplification of the Flamin' Hot Chicken Sandwich or the "Restrained Version."
  • Appreciation for the "rather good Buffalo Ranch"
  • You can add cheese for 30¢

BUFFALO RANCH FRIES

  • "Buffalo Ranch Fries are America's poutine," we'll roll with you on that one.
  • Also, who wouldn't want a bucket of blue cheese crumbles?
  • Where does eegee's blue cheese come from? This is something we should find out.

FLAVOR OF THE MONTH

  • Cherry Cider as the Flavor of the Month to match the November Fall concept.
Makes sense, since it is fall.
  • There are four eegee's flavors that include cherry in them. We think Cherry Limeade is better than Cherry Cider, though we are glad you are enjoying it.
  • Also, we Googled cider for you, here's the definition, "an unfermented drink made by crushing fruit, typically apples." And the difference between juice and cider is, "Apple juice and apple cider are both fruit beverages made from apples, but there is a difference between the two. Fresh cider is raw apple juice that has not undergone a filtration process to remove coarse particles of pulp or sediment. It takes about one-third of a bushel to make a gallon of cider." You're welcome.

SWEET HEAT COOKIE

  • The comment about the Sweet Heat Cookie is completely valid, it is Mexican Hot Cholocate Flavored. I wish we could give you a prize.

Can't wait to see how you guys feel about this month's Featured Item the Sausage N Peppers Sandwich. Get yourself to eegee's and make that video.
